Home Extensions
5 Questions
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
It depends on the size, type and location of the extension. Many single-storey rear extensions fall under Permitted Development Rights and don't require planning permission. We'll advise you during your free consultation.
How long does a home extension take to build?
A small single-storey extension typically takes 8–12 weeks, while a larger or double-storey extension can take 16–24 weeks.
Will I need to move out during the build?
In most cases, you can stay in your home throughout the build. We work to keep disruption to a minimum and will discuss this fully before the project starts.
How much does a home extension cost?
Single-storey extensions in Surrey typically start from around £1,500–£2,000 per m². Contact us for a free site visit and written quote with transparent pricing.
Do you handle planning and building regulations?
Yes — we can manage the entire process including planning applications, building regulations drawings and sign-off, working with trusted architects and structural engineers.
Bathrooms
4 Questions
How long does a full bathroom installation take?
A full bathroom strip-out and installation typically takes 1–2 weeks for a standard bathroom. Larger projects may take 2–3 weeks.
Do you supply the bathroom suite or do I need to provide it?
We can work both ways. Many clients supply their own suite and tiles and we handle installation, or we can source and supply everything for you.
Can you install underfloor heating in a bathroom?
Yes — underfloor heating is one of our most popular additions during bathroom installations and can be fitted at a very reasonable cost.
Will I be without a bathroom during the installation?
We plan carefully to minimise disruption and ensure you always have access to facilities. This is discussed in detail before every project starts.
Kitchens
4 Questions
Do you handle the full kitchen fit-out including plumbing and electrics?
Yes — we manage the complete installation including plumbing, electrics, tiling, plastering, decoration and appliance fitting.
Can you remove a wall to create an open-plan kitchen?
Yes — open-plan kitchen conversions are one of our most popular projects. We work with structural engineers for RSJ calculations and building regulations sign-off.
How long does a kitchen installation take?
A standard kitchen fit-out typically takes 1–3 weeks, depending on size and whether structural changes are involved.
Can I supply my own kitchen units?
Absolutely — many clients purchase their own units and worktops from IKEA, B&Q, Howdens etc. and we handle the full installation.
Roofing
4 Questions
How do I know if my roof needs replacing or just repairing?
Signs you may need a full replacement include widespread cracked tiles, sagging structure, persistent leaks, or a roof over 20–25 years old. We'll inspect and give an honest recommendation.
Do you supply scaffolding?
Yes — we arrange full scaffolding supply and management as part of your roofing project, clearly included in your written quote.
What types of roofing do you work with?
We work across all common roof types including pitched tile, slate, flat roofs (GRP fibreglass and rubber felt), plus fascias, soffits and guttering.
How long does a roof replacement take?
A standard residential roof replacement typically takes 3–7 days. Flat roof replacements can often be completed in 1–3 days.
Landscaping
3 Questions
What landscaping services do you offer?
We offer patio and paving, block paving driveways, garden walls, raised beds, steps, pathways, outdoor lighting and full garden transformations.
What's the best time of year for landscaping work?
We carry out landscaping projects year-round, though spring and early summer are most popular. Hard landscaping can be completed in most weather conditions.
Can you combine landscaping with an extension or refurbishment?
Absolutely — this is often the most cost-effective and efficient approach, minimising disruption and delivering your complete new space in one project.
Refurbishment
3 Questions
What does a full property refurbishment include?
A full refurbishment can include rewiring, plumbing, plastering, structural changes, flooring, decoration and new kitchens and bathrooms — all managed under one contract.
Can you refurbish a property I've just bought?
Yes — we regularly work on newly purchased properties that need modernising. An empty property makes the job faster, cleaner and less disruptive.
How long does a full property refurbishment take?
A partial refurbishment might take 2–4 weeks, while a full whole-house refurbishment could take 3–6 months depending on scope.
